The Cubby boasts 12mm tongue and groove cladding, known for its weather-tight, robust construction, supported by a 34x34mm frame. Ready for years of games and heavy footfall, the floor is also 12mm tongue and groove adding to the reliable build of this lovely playhouse. The roof, made from OSB and covered in felt, features pretty scalloped barge boards that add to the charm of this fine garden building. The overhang creates a delightful veranda area with railings either side – the perfect spot for a child’s deck chair or to kick off welly boots.

With its diamond window, cottage-style ring latch and old fashioned hinges, the single door makes a fine entrance into the summerhouse. Two Georgian-style windows with mitre-beading provide light to the interior and both open to offer ventilation. All the glazing is shatterproof and the playhouse conforms to BS EN 71-1:2014 safety regulations.

The Cubby has been dip-treated to provide a 10-year anti-rot guarantee, when supported by annual retreatment. To increase the weather-resistance of your playhouse opt for our Top Coat upgrade. A protective wood stain, the Top Coat is a waterproof coating which resists algal and fungal attack as well as nourishing the wood. Usually, customers need to apply a preservative upon assembly of this dip-treated playhouse; this Top Coat upgrade means that this is not required. The stain comes in the shade of “gold” – an orangey-yellow hue.
